Three Career Firefighter/Paramedics and Deputy Chief of Operations

Miami Township Fire & EMS is pleased to announce the hiring of three career firefighter/paramedics by the Board of Trustees at their meeting on December 19th. The three gentlemen are Jordan Hall, Brian Mungan, and Matthew Wendel. All three have career experience with other neighboring fire departments and bring 46 years of experience with them to Miami Township. They will start in their new positions the third week of January, 2018. These three gentlemen were hired to fill vacancies created by the retirements of three long-tenured employees of our department.

Additionally, the Trustees approved the promotion of Lt. David Jetter to the newly created position and rank of Deputy Chief of Operations. This position will oversee the daily operational components of the fire department including facilities, vehicles, equipment and operating policies procedures. Lt. Jetter has worked for Miami Township since 1996 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1999. He is a Miami Township resident and graduate of Milford Schools. Lt. Jetter has a Master Degree in Public Administration from Anna Maria College and is a graduate of the Ohio Fire Executive program through the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association.

We are excited to welcome these gentlemen into our department and look forward to their many years of dedicated service to the residents and businesses of Miami Township.
