Consider joining the Miami Township Fire & EMS Explorer Post 600 ,
a group of young men and women between the ages of 16 and 21 
who share an interest in learning how Fire/EMS  services are delivered.

Activities

We attend training and drill with the professionals at the dept. We answer emergency calls and provide assistance to the fire and medical team. In addition, we help with public relations and assist at community events.

What Can Explorers Do For Me?

• Provide you an opportunity to serve your community.

• Provide you an opportunity to experience a career in public safety.

Cost

Expenses are kept to a bare minimum. Other than a small application fee and a annual BSA registration fee, you will be required to provide a pair of safety shoes. 

Suggested items include:

• Leather Work Gloves

• Logo Sweatshirt

• Safety Glasses

• Logo Ball-Cap

How Do I Join?

Comply with the requirements for membership listed below and complete an application. A small application fee will be assessed when you are accepted for membership.

Requirements For membership

• Between 16 and 21 years of age.

• Possess a valid drivers license.

• Minimum grade of "C" average (or 2.5 GPA) in each subject at school.

• Permission of parent or guardian.

• Completed applications should be faxed, mailed or hand delivered to the station. We will contact you shortly.
